Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that legislative amendments are being prepared to restore mandatory asset declarations for law enforcement officers and security service personnel who are not directly involved in military operations.
According to the announcement, Zelensky said he held a meeting today on further legislative steps, stressing that several decisions still need to be made. He noted that a decision is expected to restore declarations to an extent that would genuinely allow real oversight of the financial status and lifestyle of law enforcement personnel.

Zelensky added that he had instructed Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi to review all heads of central executive authorities, both those officially appointed and those currently acting in their roles.
Background
In August 2026, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law proposing that declarations of individuals performing tasks in the interest of national security and defense be made public one year after the lifting of martial law.
