Zelenskyy: Strikes on Moscow Region Are Fair Response to Russian Attacks
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's long-range strikes on Russian military facilities, including the Moscow oil refinery, are a justified retaliation for Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the latest long-range strikes by the Defense Forces on military targets of the aggressor state are a fair response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.
In a social media post, the head of state said that during the night, Ukraine's long-range sanctions again reached the Moscow region—for the second time in a week, the Moscow oil refinery was hit. Targets in the Rostov region and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were also struck.
Zelenskyy thanked the Defense Forces and security agencies of Ukraine, including the SBU, SBS, SSO, GUR, and a missile brigade, for their joint work and accuracy. He noted that all partners have highlighted the precision and effectiveness of Ukraine's mid-range and long-range strikes.
"It is time to end this war, and Russia must take necessary steps in diplomacy," Zelenskyy added.
