Zelensky: Ukraine struck two Russian chemical plants, destroyed Su-33 jet and two Mi-8 helicopters

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media that the country's defense forces carried out a series of successful strikes over the past 24 hours against targets in Russia and Russian-controlled waters.

Chemical plants and Taganrog targets hit

According to Zelensky, two chemical industry enterprises were struck — one in Russia's Perm region and another in the Samara region. Separately, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) fighters hit several military targets in Taganrog, including an FPV drone production facility, a petroleum product storage tank, a radar station, and a Pantsir-S2 air defense complex.

Zelensky also reported a successful strike on a target in the Black Sea, though he did not disclose further details about the nature or location of that operation.

Earlier strikes confirmed

The president additionally confirmed the outcomes of several strikes carried out in recent days. A Su-33 fighter jet and two Mi-8 helicopters were destroyed in Russia's Krasnodar territory and Rostov region. An oil facility in Perm was also hit.

It was previously reported that on the night of September 12, Ukrainian forces struck the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Russia's Samara region.
