Zelenskyy: Ukraine ready for any meeting format, expects Witkoff and Kushner to be active in August

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine is ready to take part in peace talks in any format, and that collaboration with partners is ongoing. He stated this during his evening address on 4 August.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian officials are in touch with President Donald Trump's envoys every day, which he described as important. At a meeting in Washington, the conversation focused on how to create new circumstances that would make real diplomacy possible, he explained. The Ukrainian side is now working to achieve that.

According to the president, he has received reports from Kyrylo Budanov, Rustem Umierov, Davyd Arakhamiia and Serhii Kyslytsya on the negotiation track. Each of them presented the situation as it stands in their respective areas, including the current state of the talks and Moscow's attitude toward negotiations.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is prepared for meetings in any format and expects Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the US president's envoys, to become active in August. He also noted that work with other international partners, including Gulf states, is continuing, since they could contribute to diplomatic efforts and security needs.
