The National Armed Forces have announced that the National Guard will conduct planned exercises in the Ozolaine and Bārbele areas of Bauska municipality. During the training, guardsmen will enhance their skills in operating in wooded terrain, mission planning, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. Drones and training ammunition, which produce sound but pose no threat to life or health, will be utilized. Temporary military vehicle movements on roads may occur. After the exercises, the used area will be cleaned. The NAF thanks residents for their support in strengthening Latvia's defense.

Military training for soldiers and guardsmen in the National Guard is organized continuously throughout the year, involving various tactical tasks in both summer and winter. These regular planned exercises help improve readiness for the defense of National Guard unit responsibility areas. Latvian citizens aged 18 and older with at least B1 level state language proficiency and appropriate health status can join the National Guard. Further details are available on the National Guard website.
