Farmers' Saeima: Cautious optimism in agriculture this year
Valters Zelčs, foreign policy expert of the association "Farmers' Saeima", assesses the situation in agriculture this year as cautiously optimistic, as there have been no extreme weather issues.

This year, Latvian farmers have not faced as much concern about weather conditions as in previous years. In an interview on Latvian Television's program "Morning Panorama", Valters Zelčs, foreign policy expert of the association "Farmers' Saeima", noted that there has been no significant drought or excessive moisture. For this reason, the overall situation in the agricultural sector is currently assessed as cautiously optimistic.
The expert emphasized that stable weather has created more favorable conditions for production, but the sector still faces other challenges that warrant caution. More detailed information about harvest volumes and economic indicators will be available at the end of the season.
