Zutis Returns to the Ring: Fight Against Kambala in September
Boxer Zutis, who announced his retirement seven months ago, will return to the ring in September to face Kambala. Zutis revealed on social media that the offer was too tempting to refuse.

Boxer Zutis, who had previously announced the end of his career, has changed his mind. After a loss to Juris Zundovskis in a fight that lasted just 90 seconds, it seemed his boxing days were over. However, in September he will return to the ring to take on Kambala.
The two athletes know each other well. In 2019, Zutis was Kambala's manager, and they trained together at the "Skits" club in Līvāni under legendary coach Josifs Kovčs. Later, from late 2021 to January 2022, they served as opposing team captains in the boxing reality show "Boksa akadēmija".
Zutis shared his reasons for postponing retirement on social media. "Three weeks ago, I didn't think I would ever step foot in the ring again," he admitted. "Daņika's offer was bigger than my desire to quit. I have a dream of a countryside property, which I am currently working hard for."
The boxer noted that he had four other offers before, but this fight is personal and a long series of fights that the organization specifically wanted him for. He expects negativity but emphasizes that he doesn't care about others' opinions: "I answer to myself and God... Only god can judge me."
The fight between Zutis and Kambala will be one of ten bouts at "Bazara 0 Fight Club IV". On the same evening, three other boxers who have previously fought Zutis will also step into the ring: Francis Rozentāls, Juris Zundovskis, and Kristaps Zīle.
