The Swedish women's volleyball team clinched the European League championship on Sunday with a 3-2 (15:25, 18:25, 25:20, 25:18, 15:12) victory over Slovakia in the second leg of the final. Sweden had also won the first leg 3-2 (25:18, 21:25, 17:25, 27:25, 15:13), securing the title on aggregate.

Slovakia started strong, taking the first set convincingly 25-15 and the second 25-18. Thanks to a scoring performance from Maša Puljeca, the visitors led 2-0 and appeared close to forcing a decisive golden set. However, Sweden regrouped and won the next two sets 25-20 and 25-18 to level the match. In the fifth set, the Swedish side held their nerve to win 15-12 and claim the trophy.

Isabella Haak led Sweden with 28 points, while Guna Hindgren added 12. This marks Sweden's second European League gold, following their first title in 2024 when they beat Czech Republic. Only Ukraine and Serbia have more titles with three each, while Bulgaria and Czech Republic have two apiece. Ukraine were the 2025 champions, defeating Hungary in the final.
