Over 43,000 people have already voted in Latvia's 15th Saeima elections

Early voting in Latvia's 15th Saeima elections is picking up pace, with voter turnout steadily rising. According to the Central Election Commission, by Tuesday, September 29, a total of 43,571 voters had already cast their ballots, representing 2.8% of all eligible voters in Latvia.
For comparison, on the first day of voting just under 26,000 people turned out, accounting for 1.67% of eligible voters. This shows a notable increase in turnout on the second day.
Systems running without disruptions
The Central Election Commission confirmed that on Tuesday the voting systems continued to operate stably, with no technical problems reported. Questions received from polling stations were mainly related to how to use the voting system correctly, rather than to technical malfunctions or other issues.
As the main election day approaches, turnout is expected to keep climbing, since voters have progressively less time left to make their choice during the early voting period.
