Aachen-based amber raises €7 million Series A for autonomous business AI infrastructure

German company amber has closed a €7 million Series A funding round to develop a platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses unlock their organisational knowledge. The round was co-led by venture capital firms Ventech and NRW.Venture.

Aachen-based AI company amber has announced the close of a €7 million Series A funding round. The company builds a platform designed to help small and medium-sized businesses unlock and operationalise the knowledge held within their organisations.

The funding round was co-led by venture capital firm Ventech, which increased its earlier investment in the company, and NRW.Venture, the venture capital fund operated by NRW.BANK.

Building infrastructure for business AI

amber positions itself as infrastructure for autonomous business AI, aiming to help organisations make better practical use of their internal knowledge. The company points out that current AI tools generally fall short when it comes to tapping into a business's own institutional knowledge, a gap amber's platform is designed to address.

The newly raised capital will go toward further developing the technology and expanding its reach among small and medium-sized businesses across Europe.
