Alderweireld: Man Utd lacked intensity and fight in Bournemouth defeat
Football pundit Toby Alderweireld said Manchester United's squad lacks togetherness after the club's 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth.
Manchester United suffered a heavy defeat in English football, losing 3-0 to Bournemouth. The match was analysed on the BBC's Match of the Day programme by pundits Toby Alderweireld and Ashley Williams.
Alderweireld suggested there is no "togetherness" within the United squad. In his assessment, the team lacked intensity and fight in the game, and this showed in the result against Bournemouth.
Match of the Day is the BBC's football programme in which pundits review recent matches. The source material gives no further detail about the goalscorers, the course of the game or the league standings, so this report is limited to the scoreline and the experts' assessment.
Alderweireld's comments concern the overall mood and character of the team's performance rather than the displays of individual players.
