Aleksejs Saveļjevs left on bench for second straight match, his team cruises to victory
Latvian midfielder Aleksejs Saveļjevs was not in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game in Kyrgyzstan's Premier League, but his club Asia Talas thrashed Abdysh-Ata Kant 4-0 to reclaim second place in the standings.

In the Kyrgyzstan Premier League on Tuesday, Latvian international Aleksejs Saveļjevs again started on the bench for Asia Talas, marking the second game in a row he was omitted from the starting eleven. His team, however, put on a dominant performance, securing a convincing 4-0 victory over Abdysh-Ata Kant.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Asia Talas. With 32 points from 15 matches, the club moved back into second place in the league table. However, it is worth noting that the nearest rivals have at least one game in hand, so the position could change.
Saveļjevs, 27, spent the previous season with Latvian club Liepāja before moving to Kyrgyzstan. He has also represented Latvia in both Baltic Cup matches, appearing as a substitute in each.
