Vintage cars take over Almería streets for annual rally
An annual vintage car rally is under way in Almería, southern Spain, running from 5 to 9 November. Enthusiasts from across the country are taking part, on a route through village landscapes and the Western film sets of the Tabernas desert.

The southern Spanish city of Almería is hosting its annual vintage car rally from 5 to 9 November, bringing together classic vehicle enthusiasts from across the country. In the city centre, spectators watched owners start up their historic engines and drive through the streets.
The cars on show
The most notable vehicle was a rare 1905 Vermorel owned by local collector Pepe Moreno. It is normally displayed in a museum in nearby El Ejido. Other eye-catching entries included a century-old Franklin, an elegant early 1950s Chevrolet, a late 1920s Nash, vintage Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Benz models, and a DeLorean DMC-12, the futuristic sports car made famous by the Back to the Future films.
The vehicles span several generations and offer a glimpse of motoring history. For the owners, the rally is as much about sharing their passion as about preserving these machines.
The route
Participants will travel through the landscapes and villages of Almería province, with stops in Enix, Terque and Alsodux. The route also takes in Fort Bravo, well-known Western film sets in the Tabernas desert, combining automotive heritage with a tour of southern Spain's cinematic scenery.
