England beat Panama 2-0, top group thanks to Kane and Bellingham
England secured first place in Group L of the World Cup with a 2-0 victory over Panama. Harry Kane became England's all-time top scorer in World Cup finals with his 11th goal, surpassing Gary Lineker.

England dominated the first half, holding 72% possession and registering nine shots on target, but failed to score. After the break, the pressure intensified. In the 62nd minute, Jude Bellingham converted a corner from Bukayo Saka, slotting the ball into the near post. Minutes later, Harry Kane doubled the lead with a header, barely staying onside. Kane's 11th World Cup goal made him England's all-time leading scorer in the tournament, breaking Gary Lineker's record of ten. Panama had a late consolation disallowed when José Nelson's goal was ruled out for offside in stoppage time. The win confirmed England's top spot in Group L and sets up a knockout stage match against one of the third-placed teams.
