Poll: 'United List' remains most popular party in Latvia; ZZS support drops to 2.9%

A survey conducted by the research center SKDS in July shows that the 'United List' (AS), represented by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, remains the most popular political force in Latvia. Support for the party increased from 9.8% in June to 12.2% in July, according to data reported by Latvian Public Media (LSM).
The 'Sovereign Power/New Latvians' alliance came second with 11.4%, up from 8.6% a month earlier. Ratings for 'Latvia First' and 'The Progressives' also rose slightly. The National Alliance held steady at 5.5%, while 'New Unity' saw a marginal increase from 4.2% to 4.3%.
Meanwhile, the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) continued to lose ground, its rating dropping from 4.4% to 2.9%. Behind ZZS are 'We Change the Rules', 'For Stability!', 'Latvian Development', 'Harmony Centre', 'Rising Sun for Latvia', the New Conservative Party and the 'Gobzems List'.
In the survey, 23.4% of respondents said they had not yet decided which party to vote for, and 11.5% indicated they would not participate in the election. When recalculating support among decided respondents who are willing to vote, six forces would cross the 5% threshold: the United List, Sovereign Power/New Latvians, Latvia First, the Progressives, the National Alliance and New Unity. ZZS would remain below the threshold.
The SKDS poll was conducted from July 10 to 15. Respondents were asked which party they would support if the Saeima elections were held the next day. The 15th Saeima elections are scheduled for early October.
