Survey: A third of Latvian residents plan to spend over €1,000 on vacation
According to a recent survey, 31% of Latvian residents plan to spend at least €1,000 on vacation this year, an increase from previous years.

One-third (31%) of Latvian residents plan to spend more than €1,000 on vacation this year, according to a survey commissioned by IPF Digital Latvia and conducted by Norstat. This is up from 25% in 2024 and 26% in 2025.
The most common budget range is €1,001–€2,000, cited by 19% of respondents. 16% plan to spend between €501 and €1,000, while 13% will allocate over €2,000. Men are slightly more generous: 32% of men versus 30% of women plan to spend at least €1,000.
Among those aged 30–39, 38% plan a budget above €1,000, and 15% of them will spend over €2,000. Regionally, the highest budgets are in Riga – 40% of residents will spend more than €1,000. In Zemgale and Vidzeme, the figure is 28%, in Latgale 23%, and in Kurzeme 20%.
On the other hand, 9% of respondents said they do not travel during vacation, 9% have no vacation or are unemployed, and 12% have not yet decided their budget. The survey was conducted in June 2026, polling over 1,000 residents across Latvia.
