Thalia Therapeutics has announced the acquisition of Sanmirna Therapeutics alongside a €3.1 million (£2.75 million) funding round supported by investors including Premier Miton. The deal includes miRisten, a clinical-stage microRNA therapeutic candidate for acute myeloid leukemia.
Thalia Therapeutics, a British biotech company specializing in RNA-based therapeutics and delivery technologies for oncology and cardiovascular diseases, has announced the acquisition of Sanmirna Therapeutics. Concurrently, the company closed a €3.1 million (£2.75 million) funding round supported by both new and existing investors, including Premier Miton.
The acquisition brings miRisten, a clinical-stage microRNA therapeutic candidate for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), into Thalia’s pipeline. This deal strengthens the company’s portfolio and reinforces its focus on RNA-based therapies.
