Doctor warns: in summer people feel better, so often treat their health lightly
Family doctor Jevgeņijs Bondins warns that heat is especially dangerous for people with chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases and blood pressure problems, so in hot weather one should not overestimate one's strength.

Family doctor, board member of the Latvian Association of Family Doctors and head of the Alma clinic Jevgeņijs Bondins stated on the Latvian Radio program "Kā labāk dzīvot" that people often feel better in summer, which can create a false sense of security and a careless attitude towards health.
The doctor emphasized that heat is particularly dangerous for people with chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases and problems with arterial blood pressure. On such days, it is important not to overestimate one's abilities, to take precautions and to check one's health condition in a timely manner.
