Arturs Skutelis: I'm a Strange Writer, Not a Rapper
In an interview on Latvijas Radio's Monopols show, hip-hop artist Arturs Skutelis explains that he considers himself a writer of peculiar literature performed with music, rather than a traditional rapper or musician.

Arturs Skutelis, a well-known figure in Latvia's hip-hop subculture, has shared his personal perspective on his creative work during an interview on Latvijas Radio program Monopols. He stated that although others call him a rapper or musician, he sees himself differently.
"From my point of view, I rather write a kind of peculiar literature that I perform with musical accompaniment. It's clear that I'm called a rapper, sometimes a musician, but I'm more of a strange writer," Skutelis described his role in the local hip-hop subculture.
The artist's comments reflect a tendency toward self-reflection and a desire to define himself outside conventional genre boundaries. Skutelis is known in the Latvian music scene for his distinctive style, which often combines deep lyrics with rhythmic music. The Monopols interview offers insight into his creative thinking and perception of rap as an art form.
