Latvian rapper and musician Arturs Skutelis shared his thoughts on his creative identity in an interview on Latvijas Radio's program 'Monopols'. He emphasized that while the public often labels him as a rapper or musician, he considers himself more of an unusual literary figure.

Skutelis explained that his works are not confined to the genre of music alone—they are pieces of literature that he performs alongside music. This approach allows him to express himself creatively, combining the power of words with musical accompaniment.

The artist acknowledged that within the hip-hop subculture, he is often perceived as a rapper, but for him, his work is something more: it is a literary performance. Skutelis did not hide that his approach is unconventional and differs from the traditional understanding of rap art.
