US Removes Seven Russians, Two Ships, Two Turkish Firms from Sanctions Lists
The US Treasury has removed seven Russian citizens, two Russian vessels, and two Turkish companies from its sanctions lists without providing a reason.

According to the US Treasury Department's press service, seven Russian individuals have been removed from the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN). They include Ivan Potanin (son of oligarch Vladimir Potanin), German Belous (deputy chairman of Novikombank), Irina Kremleva (board member of FC Otkritie Bank), Mikhail Klyukin (supervisory board member of Sovcombank), Viktor Nikolaev (board member of FC Otkritie), Nadezhda Cherkasova (board member of FC Otkritie), and Maxim Smirnov (Russian citizen). Additionally, two vessels were delisted: "Gennady Egorov" and "Vyacheslav Arshinov," both multi-purpose dry cargo ships linked to Russia's State Transport Leasing Company. Two Turkish companies were also removed: elevator manufacturer IDA Asansor, accused of sanctions evasion and supplying goods to Russia's defense industry, and DEIN DANISMANLIK PAZARLAMA VE TICARET ANONIM SIRKETI. The Treasury did not state the reason for these decisions. Previously, the UK sanctions office eased a temporary license for Lukoil International and its subsidiaries, allowing payments to unblocked accounts of the Austrian structure of Russia's Lukoil.
