US launches eighth wave of strikes in Iran, targeting Revolutionary Guard
The US carried out its eighth consecutive wave of strikes in Iran overnight Saturday, targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in retaliation for the killing of two US troops in Jordan.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that new strikes were conducted in Iran overnight, marking the eighth consecutive wave of attacks. According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted Iran's Revolutionary Guard in retaliation for Tehran's killing of two US service members at an airbase in Jordan. A third US soldier is missing in action.
These are the first US troop deaths from direct Iranian fire since the start of the Iran war. Meanwhile, Iran continues attacks on its Gulf neighbors. Kuwait accused Tehran of targeting civilian sites and vital infrastructure, reporting attacks on an oil facility and two power and water plants.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei warned of "unforgettable lessons" if US attacks on Iran continue. He accused Washington of repeatedly breaching commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), calling the US president's signature "worthless and invalid."
