Earlier, the United States reimposed sanctions on Iranian oil, warning Tehran it would face consequences over attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. These measures are part of escalating US pressure on Iran.
Funeral of Iran's supreme leader
The body of Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei arrived in Iraq ahead of funeral processions through the holy Shia cities of Najaf and Karbala, where millions of mourners are expected to pay their respects at some of Islam's most revered shrines.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he and President Trump remain aligned on the key issues surrounding Iran, insisting the two leaders 'see eye to eye' on how to deal with Tehran.
