The latest survey commissioned by IPF Digital Latvia reveals that Latvians are increasingly willing to allocate larger sums for vacations. This year, 31% of respondents said they plan to spend more than €1,000 on holiday trips within Latvia or abroad. Compared to 2024, this figure has increased by six percentage points.

The most common budget range chosen by 19% of respondents is between €1,001 and €2,000, while 13% are ready to spend over €2,000. Another 16% plan a budget of €501–€1,000. The biggest spenders are aged 30–39: 38% in this age group plan to spend over €1,000, and 15% over €2,000.

Men are slightly more generous than women: 32% of men and 30% of women plan to spend over €1,000. Regionally, Riga residents lead with 40% planning budgets over €1,000, while in Kurzeme only 20% do, followed by Latgale (23%), and Zemgale and Vidzeme (28% each).

However, not everyone plans to travel: 9% of respondents said they usually do not travel during vacation, another 9% have no vacation or are not employed, and 12% have yet to decide on their budget.

The survey was conducted by Norstat in June 2026, polling over 1,000 residents across Latvia.
