On Friday, July 31, Bauska City Residents' Advisory Council held a general meeting at the Bauska Community Centre "Pasta 5". During the meeting, participants elected four new council members. Four candidates had been nominated: Sanita Vilsone, Inga Tarvida, Eridana Metene, and Māris Skotelis. A total of 20 ballots were cast, and all four candidates received residents' support.

The newly elected representatives will join two members of the previous council, Kaspars Kalējs and Uldis Varnevičs, who will continue working in the new term. Thus, the council will now have six members. Several former members of the previous 14-member council also attended the meeting and expressed willingness to cooperate with the new council, though they will not continue serving on it.

After the general meeting, the first session of the new council took place. Māris Skotelis was elected chair, Kaspars Kalējs as deputy chair, and Uldis Varnevičs as secretary. The session also addressed upcoming work matters, and the next council meeting was scheduled for August 25.
