Bauska Museum Opens Two Exhibitions in One Day: Anniversary Show for Rolands Gross and Nature-Inspired Works by Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne
On August 1, the Bauska Museum will open two exhibitions: Rolands Gross's 70th anniversary exhibition 'Signs of Time' and a painting exhibition 'Insight' by Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne. Both openings will include meetings with the artists.
The Bauska Museum invites visitors to the opening of two new exhibitions on Saturday, August 1. At 1 PM, the museum will unveil 'Signs of Time' (Laika zīmes), a retrospective exhibition dedicated to artist Rolands Gross's 70th birthday. At 2 PM, the opening of 'Insight' (Ieskats), an exhibition of paintings by Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne, a native of Iecava, will take place. Both events will offer a chance to meet the artists.
Rolands Gross, professor emeritus at the Latvian Academy of Arts and a longtime drawing teacher, presents works spanning over forty years of creative activity. His pieces employ various techniques including watercolor, pastel, charcoal, and oil. The exhibition features memory fragments, architectural motifs, still lifes, portraits, and symbolic compositions, showcasing his exceptional drawing culture and technical mastery.
Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne, internationally known as Tatyana Palchuk, presents delicate, nuanced paintings focused on nature, still lifes, and landscapes. She earned a classical academic education and honed her skills both in Latvia and abroad. Her works are distinguished by refined drawing, harmonious composition, and sophisticated color. In recent years, she has received several international awards, and her paintings are held in public and private collections worldwide.
