Bauska municipality is broadly represented at “Riga Food 2026”, the largest food industry exhibition in the Baltics, taking place in Ķīpsala until September 12. The event showcases food producers from Latvia and abroad.

The International Exhibition Centre in Ķīpsala is hosting “Riga Food 2026,” the largest food industry exhibition in the Baltic states, running until Saturday, September 12. Businesses from the Bauska municipality are among those presenting their products, according to information provided to the portal by the Ministry of Agriculture's public relations department.
Visitors can explore a wide range of offerings from Latvian and foreign food producers, along with current industry developments. At Latvia's national joint stand, organized by the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics together with the Ministry of Agriculture, 23 local food producers are presenting their products, including several companies affiliated with the Latvian Bakers' Association.
Fisheries sector and a new brand
The exhibition also gives space to Latvia's fisheries industry, with nine companies participating in the Latvian Fisheries stand. For the first time, the sector is presenting a new brand, “Latvian Fish,” to the wider public, bringing together four local aquaculture companies. Visitors can learn about Latvian-farmed trout, carp and Arctic char, as well as various fish processing products.
“Taste of the Region” stand and events
The exhibition also features the “Taste of the Region” stand, themed “Our Product – Our Strength,” organized by the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre together with the Ministry of Agriculture. Visitors can meet local producers there and sample products such as sklandrausis, lampreys and sour barley porridge.
On Friday, from 10:30 to 14:00, the main stage hosts a forum discussing the role of local products in national self-sufficiency, while on Saturday the “Taste of the Region” stand will host masterclasses on preparing local products throughout the day.
