Bauska Region’s Average Pension Lags Behind National Average; Largest Pension Granted Last Year Reached €4,500
In April 2025, the average old-age pension in Bauska region was €644.53, €42 below the national average. The highest pension granted in the region last year was €4,500 per month.

According to data from the Central Statistical Bureau, the average old-age pension in Latvia reached €685.92 in April 2025, up by 10.1% compared to the previous year. Nationwide, 438,843 people received old-age pensions, of whom 286,497 were women and 152,346 were men.
Data from the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) shows that in Bauska region, 8,796 residents received old-age pensions in April. The average pension amount including supplements was €644.53, which is nearly €42 less than the national average. The majority of pensioners (4,879) receive between €500 and €1,000 per month, while 924 receive more than €1,000.
VSAA specified that in 2025, old-age pensions were granted to 398 persons in Bauska region, with an average amount of €680.44. Last year, the largest pension granted in the region reached €4,500 per month.
