Alba Berlin won their 12th German basketball championship, defeating Bayern Munich 3-2 in the final series.

Alba Berlin captured the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) title on Saturday, overcoming a 20-point deficit in the decisive Game 5 to beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in the finals.
Bayern dominated the first half, winning the second quarter 22-7 to take a commanding 47-27 lead into halftime. However, Alba showed resilience after the break, mounting a 17-point run in the third and fourth quarters, taking the lead and never relinquishing it.
The series saw alternating victories: Bayern won Game 1 at home 102-94, Alba responded with an 86-79 win in Berlin. Bayern then took Game 3 91-83, but Alba forced a decider with a dramatic 71-61 win in Game 4, featuring a stunning 26-2 run.
Justin Bean led Alba with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jonas Mattisseck also scored 18. For Bayern, Andreas Obst poured in 24 points (8/21 from the field).
This marks Alba Berlin's 12th German championship, while Bayern Munich has seven titles.
