Bite Latvija invests nearly €250,000 in developing its self-service app
Bite Latvija has upgraded its "ManaBite" self-service app with new features, faster performance and stronger security, while also expanding payment options. The app is used by up to 200,000 users each month.

Mobile operator Bite Latvija has announced a major upgrade to its "ManaBite" self-service app, investing nearly €250,000 in its development. The self-service platform has been available to customers for ten years, while the mobile app has existed since 2019. About 80% of the operator's customers are currently registered on the platform, and it is used by up to 200,000 users per month, including both individuals and businesses.
Through the app, customers can manage their connected services, track mobile and data usage, and view and pay bills. Armands Omuls, e-commerce manager at Bite Latvija, says the company focused not only on adding new functionality but also on improving the app's speed, clarity and security.
New features and payment options
One of the key updates is the ability to pay bills using digital payment services Apple Pay and Google Pay. The app also now shows a clearer breakdown of the current month's expected costs, helping customers anticipate their upcoming bill.
Several features previously available only on the manabite.lv web portal have now been added to the mobile app, including ordering a detailed service report by email, viewing a SIM card's original PIN code, blocking a SIM card if needed, and viewing and electronically signing contracts.
Stronger security and a new language option
To protect user accounts, the company has introduced two-factor authentication (2FA). The app will also become available in English, making it easier to use for international customers.
The new version of ManaBite will be delivered to customers as an update to the existing app — downloaded automatically for those with auto-updates enabled, or manually through Google Play and the App Store.
