TechCrunch Founder Summit in Boston on Nov. 4 Stresses Purposeful Networking
TechCrunch's event for startup founders and venture capital investors takes place in Boston on November 4, with several formats designed for deliberate networking. A ticket discount and a free second pass are available until doors open.

Technology news outlet TechCrunch is holding its Founder Summit on November 4 at the SoWa Power Station in Boston, an event aimed at startup founders and venture capital investors. Fidelity Private Shares presents the event. With four days to go, organizers are stressing that attendees will have several ways to meet people on purpose rather than relying on chance encounters.
Pre-arranged conversations
The event's networking lounge, powered by the Braindate platform, lets attendees schedule one-on-one or small-group conversations on specific topics. Examples given include fundraising strategies, hiring challenges, selling to large enterprise customers and building a company in Boston.
The conversations can also continue ideas raised during the program. Organizers say that after hearing Kent Bennett speak about product-market fit, attendees can meet other founders facing the same question, and after Chase Garbarino discusses building in Boston, they can find others doing the same in the city.
Other formats
The program also includes roundtables with smaller, topic-focused groups, breakout sessions in which attendees can put questions related to the on-stage panels, and an Expo Hall where attendees and partners meet throughout the day. A closing reception lets founders, investors and operators keep talking without rushing to another session. Official side events will also take place around Boston all week.
Tickets
Passes are cheaper until doors open: the discount reaches up to $100, and a second pass is offered free. Prices rise afterward.
