TechCrunch Founder Summit in Boston: How the Event Aims to Foster Useful Connections
TechCrunch's Founder Summit for startup founders and venture investors takes place in Boston on November 4. Organizers say attendees will have several ways to meet people more purposefully.

TechCrunch, the technology news outlet, will hold its Founder Summit, a conference for startup founders and venture capital investors, on November 4 at the SoWa Power Station in Boston. The event is presented by Fidelity Private Shares, and four days remain before doors open.
Organizers say the aim is to help attendees build connections intentionally rather than leaving introductions to chance.
Conversations by topic
A Networking Lounge, powered by the platform Braindate, will operate during the event. Attendees can schedule one-on-one or small-group conversations on specific topics in advance, such as fundraising strategies, hiring challenges or selling to enterprise customers. They can also look for people building companies in Boston.
Braindate also lets attendees continue topics raised in the program. For example, after Kent Bennett speaks on product-market fit, they can connect with another founder grappling with the same question. The same applies after founders pitch to investors, or after Chase Garbarino talks about building a company in Boston.
Other formats
Beyond the lounge, the program includes roundtables in smaller groups and breakout sessions in which panelists answer questions from the audience. An Expo Hall brings attendees and partners together throughout the day, and a closing reception lets founders, investors and operators keep talking without rushing to another session.
The event also extends beyond the venue: official side events will run across Boston all week.
Ticket prices will rise once doors open. For now, buyers can save up to $100 and receive a second pass free.
