Brazil's football team earned their first victory in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, beating Haiti 3-0, while Turkey lost all chances to advance after a second defeat.

Brazil's national football team secured their first win in the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, defeating Haiti 3-0 in Group C. All three goals were scored in the first half. Brazil had previously drawn with Morocco, leaving them with four points after two matches.
Morocco also won their second match, beating Scotland 1-0 with the only goal coming in the second minute. Scotland, who had beaten Haiti in the first round, sit third in the group, while Haiti have lost all hope of reaching the knockout stage.
In Group D, Paraguay, who lost their opening match to the USA, defeated Turkey 1-0. Again, the only goal was scored in the second minute of the first half. Turkey suffered their second consecutive defeat, having lost 0-2 to Australia earlier, and thus are eliminated from contention.
The USA have already secured their place in the knockout stage with two wins and six points. Australia and Paraguay, both on three points, will compete for the second spot in the group.
