Brigadier General Biletskyi: Peace in Ukraine Only After Russia Suffers Serious Defeat
Ukrainian Brigadier General Andriy Biletskyi stated that peace in Ukraine will only come after Russia suffers a serious defeat. He made the remark while receiving 14 infantry fighting vehicles from Latvia.

Commander of the 3rd Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Andriy Biletskyi, declared that peace in Ukraine will only be possible after Russia suffers a serious military defeat. The statement was made as Latvia handed over 14 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
Upon receiving the vehicles, Biletskyi praised Latvia's support, saying: "Latvia is not a large country, but it has a big heart, and in a difficult time it does an extraordinary amount for Ukraine." He expressed gratitude for the aid, which includes not only these vehicles but also other forms of assistance.
The general's emphasis on the need for Russia's defeat reflects Ukraine's stance that a ceasefire without a decisive victory will not ensure lasting peace. Analysts note that such rhetoric is common among senior Ukrainian military leaders, who stress the necessity of complete territorial liberation.
