UK TV picks: rockstar chefs, an Aldi series and the Taskmaster finale
The Guardian's 5 November TV guide highlights a BBC Two series on three British celebrity chefs, a Channel 4 show about Aldi and an ITV1 special on the murder of Henry Nowak. The Taskmaster and Big Brother seasons also end tonight.

The Guardian's culture section has rounded up the evening's television highlights for British viewers on 5 November.
At 9pm on BBC Two, the three-part series Rise of the Rockstar Chef begins. It follows Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, three difficult and brilliant chefs who, according to the reviewer, triggered a foodie revolution in the UK in the 1980s. The review says the programme does not entirely avoid era-specific clichés but does capture the energy created by the trio's rise.
Other programmes
At 8pm on Channel 4, a new series called Aldi: The Next Big Seller offers a look at the inner workings of a supermarket. The first episode covers sweet treats and shows how a new product reaches the shelves. Anita Rani and Jimmy Doherty sit on the judging panel.
At 9pm on ITV1, the special Dear Henry: Our Fight for Justice presents the death of Henry Nowak, murdered in 2025, as a family tragedy. The reviewer notes that the killing had been exploited by the far right. Journalist Paul Brand speaks to Nowak's family, who share memories of their son and brother.
Also at 9pm on Channel 4, the 22nd series of the comedy panel show Taskmaster ends. The reviewer calls it not the strongest series, saying Richard Ayoade's commitment to being contrary often wore thin. The winner receives a trophy replica of Greg Davies's head.
At 9pm on ITV2, the reality show Big Brother holds its live final. The series has faced numerous complaints about the behaviour of contestant Omar, and Women's Aid said the show risked "presenting abuse as a form of entertainment". A reunion episode airs on Friday night.
At 10pm on Channel 4, the sitcom It Gets Worse ends its season with a double bill.
Sport
At 5pm, TNT Sports 1 shows the UEFA Europa League football match between English club Crystal Palace and German club Hoffenheim. Sunderland v Dinamo Zagreb follows at 7.45pm.
