Chinese carmaker Changan intends to offer a new electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Nevo Q05, in Europe in early 2027. The company announced this at the Paris motor show, where the model was displayed alongside other cars from the brand. The Q05 is a compact crossover aimed at families and is set to be one of the more affordable electric SUVs in Changan's range.

Size and interior

The car is about 4.44 metres long. Boot capacity is 540 litres, rising to 1,380 litres with the rear seats folded down. The cabin has a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Depending on trim, driver assistance systems and comfort equipment are also available.

Specifications

In China the model is sold with a 120 kW (163 hp) electric motor and a choice of two LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries, of 40.3 and 51.9 kWh. Range on China's CLTC test cycle is 405 and 506 kilometres respectively. With fast charging, the battery can go from 30 to 80 per cent in roughly 15–20 minutes.

European version

Technical data for the Chinese market may differ from the European model's specifications. For the European version, the manufacturer quotes a range of up to 450 km on the WLTP cycle. Such figures would allow the car to compete with more affordable electric SUVs such as the BYD Atto 2 and the Citroën ë-C3 Aircross.

The model is intended for everyday city driving and family use.
