Chinese automaker Chery is continuing to expand its dealer network in Latvia. Starting this August, SIA Skandi Motors will become the brand's official representative in Liepaja, giving Chery a presence in the Kurzeme region. The brand has previously been represented in Riga by WESS Select.

At the new showroom in Liepaja, customers will be able to view and buy cars, book test drives, and receive authorized service and warranty maintenance. The company says Liepaja is one of Latvia's most important regional centers, so opening a dealership there is a natural step in network development and will bring services closer to both current and potential Chery owners.

Skandi Motors was chosen as the partner in Kurzeme due to its long experience in car sales and maintenance, as well as professional customer service, quality workshop services and an individual approach.

The Liepaja showroom will offer the current Chery models – Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9. Customers will also be able to get advice on financing options.

Mārtiņš Blūms, CEO of WESS Mobility, said the company sees strong growth potential for Chery in Latvia and believes Skandi Motors' experience and customer service standards match the brand's values. He expressed confidence that the cooperation will help strengthen Chery's position in Kurzeme.

Mareks Vītols, branch manager of SIA Skandi Motors, described joining the Chery dealer network as a significant milestone. He noted growing interest in modern, technologically advanced and economical cars, and said he believes Chery models will appeal to a wide range of customers in Kurzeme. The company's goal is to ensure a professional sales process and to take care of customers after the purchase.

Chery is one of the fastest-growing car manufacturers in the world; it operates in more than 110 countries and has been China's largest passenger car exporter for several years. The brand entered the Baltic market in early 2026 and within a few months set up a dealer network in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Chery cars are characterized by modern design, high safety levels, advanced technology and a rich standard equipment list. All new Chery cars come with a seven-year or 150,000 km warranty, as well as a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.

The opening of the Liepaja dealership will expand Chery's sales and after-sales services in Kurzeme and represents another step in the brand's dealer network development in the Baltics.
