Daugavpils: 200 cameras round-the-clock – over 15,000 violations recorded
Daugavpils city video surveillance system, operating for more than a decade, now includes over 200 cameras that have helped record more than 15,000 violations.

For more than ten years, Daugavpils has been operating a city video surveillance system that expands every year. Currently, the network consists of over 200 stationary and portable cameras working around the clock.
According to the LSM program “ObSudim Vecherom,” the cameras help resolve various incidents – from traffic accidents to hooliganism, attempted theft, and even swimming in fountains. Recordings often become crucial evidence in finding the culprits.
In total, more than 15,000 violations have been recorded with the help of cameras in the city, highlighting that the system has become an important tool for maintaining public order.
