Daugavpils Central Park is set to host the street food festival "Garšu toņi" (Tones of Taste), which has become an established tradition marking the end of summer in the city. This year's edition will bring together 50 vendors from both Latvia and Lithuania.

A wide variety of dishes

Visitors will be able to sample dishes representing various world cuisines alongside treats prepared by local home-style cafés. Among the offerings, sauerkraut is mentioned as one of the traditional foods reflecting the festival's broad range of flavors.

An unusual addition from Vaboles

One of the more unusual newcomers at this year's festival is the offering from "Laimes taure", a holiday home in the Vaboles parish. The establishment will serve grilled quail and marinated quail eggs — a dish not commonly seen at Latvian street food festivals.

The festival continues to reinforce Daugavpils' reputation as a gathering place where lovers of different cuisines and culinary traditions can meet each year, offering a chance to taste both local and international dishes in one location.
