Dienas Bizness Digitalises Its Publications with Recovery Fund Support
On 9 January 2025 the publisher of Dienas Bizness signed a contract for Recovery and Resilience Facility support to modernise its media processes. The project includes CRM systems, mobile apps and Smart TV apps.
The media company SIA "Izdevniecība "Dienas bizness"" is digitally transforming its publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI with funding from the Recovery Fund. On 9 January 2025 it signed contract No. 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency. The contract provides support under the measure "Modernisation of Media Sector Company Processes".
Goal of the project
The project is meant to carry out the digital transformation of both publications. The company aims to adapt to modern media consumption habits and to encourage interaction between digital and print media.
Expected results
By 30 June 2025, two digital solutions, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems, are to be introduced.
By 30 June 2026, the company plans to deliver:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications;
- an expansion of the functionality of existing platforms, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
The project therefore covers both customer data management and new channels through which readers can access the publications' content. The information about the contract and project objectives was published on 9 January 2025.
