Dienas Bizness Carries Out Digital Transformation Project With Recovery Fund Support
The Latvian publisher Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness” has signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support for its digital development. The project provides for CRM systems, mobile apps and Smart TV apps.
The Latvian media company SIA “Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness”” signed a contract on 9 January 2025 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) for support under the measure “Modernisation of Media Sector Companies' Processes”. The measure is financed by the Recovery Fund and is intended to help the company modernise its work processes and digital services. The contract number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004.
Aim of the project
The project's task is to carry out the digital transformation of the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. Its goal is to adapt to modern media usage habits and to promote interaction between digital and print media.
Expected results
The project sets two deadlines. By 30 June 2025, two digital solutions were to be introduced, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Such systems help a company work with its customers.
By 30 June 2026, the plan is to introduce two mobile applications and two Smart TV applications, which are designed for use on smart televisions. The functionality of existing platforms is also to be expanded, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
