Dior Mashes Up 'Indie Sleaze' with Luxury: Show Moved Early to Beat the Heat
Dior's menswear show in Paris was rescheduled to 9am due to a 40°C heatwave. Jonathan Anderson presented a collection blending luxury with hedonism, inspired by youth clubbing culture.

Paris Fashion Week saw Dior move its show from afternoon to 9am to avoid forecast 40°C temperatures. Guests received cool towels, umbrellas, and personalized fans. The show took place in the garden of the Musée Nissim de Camondo, under renovation until 2030.
The collection was inspired by young people's nightlife. The soundtrack was by Fred Again, the invitation was a black disco ball, and outfits combined luxury with hedonism: hologram sequin trousers, ripped jeans, oversized metallic brooches, and deconstructed chiffon suits. Designer Jonathan Anderson noted that rave culture is reviving in London and beyond, making fashion more relaxed.
Anderson, who became Dior's first creative director for both menswear and womenswear in 2025, said he must address existing clients while attracting new ones. He intentionally mixes styles to create tension. This third menswear collection underlines his use of pop culture: his first featured plain knits, while January played into indie sleaze. Since then, Dior has staged a show in Los Angeles and opened a restaurant in Saint-Tropez.
Anderson has a proven record: at Loewe he quintupled revenue in 12 years, and HSBC forecasts 10% growth for Dior in 2026. This collection is likely to influence global fashion trends.
