Two new gadgets built to last: Fairphone 6 Plus and Framework Laptop 12
Two newly released devices are being praised for repairability — the Fairphone 6 Plus smartphone and Framework's second-generation 12-inch laptop. Both makers emphasize longevity and user-replaceable parts.

Fairphone is selling one of its highly repairable smartphones directly in the US for the first time. The new Fairphone 6 Plus features an improved chip and a bump to 12GB of RAM compared to last year's model. Repair guide and tools company iFixit awarded the device a perfect 10/10 repairability score, underscoring its potential for a long service life.
Meanwhile, Framework has released the second generation of its convertible 12-inch laptop. The new model comes with Intel's latest Core Series 3 processors and offers optional fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard. A pre-built version running Fedora Linux is also available. That version starts at $699 — $100 cheaper than the starting price of the previous generation.
