Auto Photo Orientation Event to Take Place in Dobele Municipality
On the evening of July 25, an auto photo orientation event will begin in Dobele Municipality, lasting until early morning. Participants will drive around in cars, freely choosing their route and searching for photo points.
The Dobele Municipality has announced that an auto photo orientation drive called “Dobele and Surroundings 2026” will take place from 9:00 PM on July 25 until 2:00 AM on July 26. Participants will travel in passenger cars, with approximately 30 vehicles expected to take part. Unlike traditional orientation competitions, there will be no common gathering – participants are free to choose their own starting and finishing points and design their own routes. The photo points to be located are tourist and other visible objects along roadsides, positioned so as not to disturb local residents. At each point, participants will stay only as long as needed to take a single photograph. No traffic restrictions are planned, and the drive will take place on public roads.
