Drone attack sparks fire at Wildberries logistics hub in Russia's Vladimir Oblast
A drone strike caused a major fire at a Wildberries logistics centre in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, forcing an evacuation of staff.
A fire broke out at a logistics centre operated by Russian online retailer Wildberries in the village of Khryastovo, Vladimir Oblast, following a drone attack. Videos and photos shared on social media appear to show the moment a drone hit the facility, after which the blaze quickly engulfed the warehouse.
Wildberries' press service confirmed that the fire was caused by a drone strike. All employees were evacuated from the building, and the company stated that order intake and dispatch would be handled at alternative logistics facilities.
The incident is not isolated. On 2 August, another Wildberries logistics centre in the village of Novosemeikino, Samara Oblast, caught fire after a similar drone attack. Then, on 3 August, a university building in Belgorod where drones were being developed and tested also went up in flames following a drone strike.
Local Telegram channel Exilenova+ and the company's press service provided information about the incident.
