In the radio program "Laikmeta krustpunktā", Normunds Beļskis speaks openly about his involvement in nationally significant events. He was an active participant in Latvia's independence restoration process and helped shape the communication of interior structures with the public. Beļskis also acknowledges contributing to Valdis Zatlers' path to the presidency.

The poet emphasizes that the most important thing now is to set aside all previous disputes and mutual accusations. He believes too much energy is spent on blaming each other, but this must take a back seat so that society can focus on improvement.

Beļskis also sees his mission in poetry, which is another way for him to influence the surrounding world. He admits that through art it is possible to spark change and foster understanding between people.
