George criticises 'unacceptable' Auvaa over nightclub incident
Jamie George has condemned Saracens teammate Totoa Auvaa's behaviour in a nightclub incident involving England cricket captain Ben Stokes and bowler Gus Atkinson.

England rugby stand-in captain Jamie George has criticised his Saracens teammate Totoa Auvaa's 'unacceptable' behaviour after the Samoan was involved in a nightclub incident with England cricket captain Ben Stokes and bowler Gus Atkinson.
George, who has 110 caps, described the 21-year-old academy player as 'a rabbit in the headlights in London' and said he 'doesn't know right from wrong', but insisted he was a 'good kid'.
The incident occurred on 8 June when Stokes and Atkinson breached their team's midnight curfew while celebrating victory in the first Test. Auvaa struck a member of England's security staff, leaving him bloodied and requiring medical attention.
Earlier this week, Saracens said Auvaa would face no formal sanctions after their own investigation. The club described the incident as 'regrettable for all parties involved' but said they 'remains supportive of the player'.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) conducted a disciplinary hearing, finding that Stokes and Atkinson had breached 'contractual obligations' but were blameless for 'violent conduct'. They received a written warning with no further action. A separate inquiry by the Cricket Regulator found insufficient evidence to proceed.
Saracens criticised the ECB for not involving them in the process.
