Experts: Human behavior is behind the increasing bear appearances in Latvia
Experts say that bears seen more frequently near Latvian towns are a human-caused issue, not a sign of animal aggression.

During the Latvian Radio programme "Zināmais nezināmajā" (The Known Unknown), experts explained that a bear wandering into a city does not make it a dangerous animal, but rather creates a dangerous situation. The root of the problem lies with humans: bears that become dependent on human food or are deliberately fed become potentially dangerous. The experts emphasized that there is no reason for heightened emotions or fear, but a solution must be found. The key is to understand that dangerous animals are created by human actions, not by nature itself.
