Pundit Picks England World Cup XI: Pickford, Kane, and Bellingham Included
A BBC Sport pundit has outlined their preferred England starting lineup for the World Cup, choosing Jordan Pickford as goalkeeper and Harry Kane as striker, with Jude Bellingham in the number 10 role.

Goalkeeper and Defence
The pundit selected Jordan Pickford as the first-choice goalkeeper. At right-back, Reece James was chosen, provided he is fully fit. For centre-back, John Stones got the nod over Ezri Konsa, despite Konsa's reliability, because of Stones' ability to dictate play from the back. Marc Guehi was an automatic pick due to his excellent form for both club and country. At left-back, Nico O'Reilly was preferred over Djed Spence.
Midfield
In midfield, the pundit opted for a pair of Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson. Rice's role is well known, while Anderson was praised for his ability to break up play and also initiate attacks with quality passes. Jude Bellingham was chosen as the attacking midfielder ahead of Morgan Rogers, described as a "big game player" and a genuine superstar alongside Harry Kane.
Attack
On the left wing, Marcus Rashford was chosen over Anthony Gordon, though the pundit noted Rogers could also feature there. Bukayo Saka was an obvious pick on the right. Harry Kane leads the line as the central striker.
The lineup reflects a balance of experience and form, with several players from the current season's strong performers.
