Latvian group Musiqq released a new single, 'Tu zini mani no galvas' ('You Know Me By Heart'), back in June, featuring singer Tikasha Sakama, better known as Nancy Garkalne. The song has grown highly popular over the summer, with many listeners already knowing the lyrics by heart.

Precisely because of that popularity, a recent slip-up during a live concert didn't go unnoticed. Singer Emīls Balceris mixed up one of the song's lines onstage. The correct lyric should be 'Mans tētis tev atdos savu meitu' ('My father will give you my daughter'), but Balceris, without immediately realizing his mistake, sang 'Tavs tētis tev atdos savu meitu' ('Your father will give you my daughter').

Nancy jokes about the mix-up

The moment was caught and later commented on with humor by his duet partner Nancy on social media. She joked that the altered lyric would need to be run through an AI translator to make sense, since the changed wording implies that a girl is somehow being given back to herself. Nancy admitted that the song's lyrics can genuinely be tricky to sing in the right order.

A video clip of the onstage mix-up was shared online, letting other listeners enjoy the lighthearted moment for themselves.
